ohh man, it's getting really interesting now! And SF:TLY lives up to what we expect and put out some good quotes and moments yet again! "Jimminy Cricket's dick" "They see this as a Mortal Kombat, they have that Killer Instinct"  And the parts where everyone is dressing up and Zangief just raises a man thong?? and when he walks into the ring and everyone is just repulsed, while Bison looks on with pride priceless hoho |

A couple things:
- Great backstory, that explains a lot of what was going on.
- No offense Big Z, that thong was way too much for me.
- Where did Sagat come from all of a sudden?
- "Old Ricky Lake fat?.....New Ricky Lake fat?"
- I love how Ryu says HADOUKEN with such force.
- Can't wait to see Guile's costume.
- To el director, Big Z and the rest of the cast and crew, wonderful job with the series thus far, I can't wait for the rest of it.

Thanks, Captain! Ryu really cracks me up with his game-like delivery of the word, HADOUKEN! Sam told me during Zangief's training in Bison's camp that he decided he'd refrain from overusing Sagat and making his presence too obvious at that time, since he was still unaccounted for at Bison's home and busy lurking as more of a shadowy figure behind the scenes in this evil and deadly corporate conspiracy. It sure was great to see him back on the set recently when the tournament got underway, though! During Claudio's absence, he got married this July! Regarding Zangief's new look, this is his attempt at updating his image to that of a more modern day MMA fighter (which he always really was) instead of his former classic pro wrestler image. As for the skimpy red brief, gotta be just a gay thing for our Russian narcissist. |

Strangely, prior to being cast as Zangief, I was never tagged as him. People who recognized me on the street called me Drummer Bear. I had the beard and a clean shaven head at the time. It was such an identifiable image that, when I played at Bearapalooza and had grown in a buzz of dark hair, several Drummer Bear fans thought I hadn't shown up for the concert yet there I was, backing the headliner! I began to realize that even the slightest deviation from an image that is so strongly associated with a known persona will pass by unnoticed. It is just as true with Zangief. His classic bushy beard and squared off buzz Mohawk are so inexorably associated with his image that, if I so much as shave off the Mohawk, I'm thoroughly convinced that few, if any, fans will recognize me on the street as Zangief anymore.
I do recall that, in 1991, when I was watching some kids playing Street Fighter II at a pizza place, it did occur to me that I would probably resemble that Russian guy if I were to shave my head and grow a Mohawk. At the time, I had shaggy Beatle hair. Something about the eyes made me notice the resemblance anyway, even back then.

Yeah he also says the name of mountain with that force, gotta love that =D This episode was really fun.. Loved the part where Zangief climbs on the ring. And the super Evil plot of Capcom XD HADOUKEN!!! |
