Which character is your favorite and why are they your favorite. I am not sure that for me there is really a favorite character, but if I had one I am sure it would have to be one of them. RYU

In the game I would always choose Ryu or Ken when I played in the arcade many years ago.

So far in this series "Street Fighter: The Later Years" I like all of the characters but I enjoyed watching the Zangief character and Sagat was pretty funny too. It will be interesting to see how this turns out in the end.

In the game I always played Ryu, Blanka or E. Honda. My friends for some reason could never avoid the splash of E. Honda or could never jump in on Blanka because I would shock them  Cheesy. But Ryu I mastered to the point I had to retire him with only one loss (I was drunk at the time lol).

In the series Blanka gave me a good laugh even with his brief appearance. I was disappointed E. Honda was dead because I think there could have been some laughs with his character. Zangief is really funny too..who would have guessed he'd lose all that muscle mass lol.

Yeah, I guess you are right and I should have clarified in the series or game. Because I did play with many characters in the game with RYU the main character I played. Some times if you are in the right arcade you can still find a working game.

there are still a few places with champion/hyper fight in Aus

I owned a cabinet with street fighter II hyper fighting, but sold it on ebay 3 months back

you can find them relatively cheap, should buy one if youre still into it - would have kept mine but needed $

You really have to make sure that you know how to fix them when you buy them in a cabinet. They are easy to keep running if you know what you are doing and take care of them. I have noticed that some games in their original cabinets are not that good because they were not taken care of.

I have played one online street fighter game in the past and my favorite character would have to be Ryu, he's the main character and can do quite a few cool moves in the online game i used to play Wink.

There are a lot of really good characters in this game, who each have a style of their own and do various things. Although I have a favorite, I like many other players used to play with not only one character but with many.

I think that's what made the game popular back then. You could choose these different characters who each had different styles of fighting. Even with this series you can see the different personalities of the characters coming out in each actor.

My favourite characters have always been Ryu and Chun-li.

Although at some point, I started thinking Guile was extremely bad ass.
But I usually end up playing third strike from any of the games, and have to resort to using Remy to fulfill my sonic booms and moon kicks :x

From the standpoint of the characters themselves, I really like Dhalsim a lot. He's got the most superpowers of all of them yet his use of them is tempered by his Zen-like wisdom.

I also dig characters with the best sense of humor like Ken & Ryu, Dee Jay, Dan (Ryu's older brother) and E. Honda.

And, naturally, I love Zangief. He may not be the brightest bulb on the marquee but his sensitivity makes him strangely vulnerable for a guy who wrestles bears and bites into bricks. He's fearless and fearsome in the ring but he's not tough. Sure, tough doesn't scare him; he eats tough guys for breakfast but I feel like you could really do some damage to him if you just hurt his feelings. Kind of brings out the protective side of a person, that sort of vulnerability.

Also, as a fighter, he's on no holy mission and has no axe to grind. He fights for the sheer love of the sport and, even if he's just piledriven your head into the pavement, he'll very likely invite you out for drinks right afterward. He really does seem to genuinely like most of his Street Fighter buddies regardless of his trash-talking about them in the ring.
