So far I really enjoyed the Zangief character in the series. Not to take anything away from all the rest of the characters because everyone did a great job, but the Zangief character really stood out and was fun to watch. It was brilliant they way it started with Zangief mopping the arcade floor and the two guys playing the game with Zangief's character talking trash about him. Even just that part where Sagat is talking to him but looking into the camera and Zangief turns with that look on his face. Funny stuff!

When you can take something such as characters of a game and turn it to real life and make it fun for people to watch while giving it a story line, it is really good and people will watch. I have to say this was a fun character to watch as well.

I definately enjoy the Zangief character as portrayed in SF:TLY. Mike Fass does an awesome job. From someone who was a limited fan of Street Fighter, this series is amazing. I know that every person I've shown it to has laughed their butts off, even if they weren't street fighter fans.
A question for Mike... I can tell you've done your research, and that you are taking an active role on the site, are you helping head the project as well? Why aren't other actors conributing to the site? Also, have you heard anything about when the next episode will be released? I'm very anxious to see what happens next. Honestly, I could see this turning into a feature film, if it maintained the quality of production and humor that it has now. Good work!

An enormous and heartfelt THANK YOU to you, KGB!
You're right; my involvement in anything Street Fighter was limited strictly to that of just watching kids play the game during its heyday. I was already in my thirties when it came out so I didn't have the pleasure of growing up with it. I'll tell ya this, though; I can very definitely see and understand its enormous appeal and why it brings back such fun memories for those who did.
I'm having so much fun here at this site and I just have to get around to inviting my co-stars to join in with us. I apologize for having taken so long to do that but I promise I will. I'm wondering if any of them even know about this site but I'll bring them all in one by one, you can be certain.
My involvement in the series is strictly that of an actor and I get a lot of undue credit for playing Zangief as fans remember him (albeit the 51 year old Zangief of today) when, in reality, it was Sam Reich who wrote the character and directed my portrayal of him so faithfully.
Our production team is trying to get the next episode out sometime this month. I'm already droolin', LOL! It really does seem inevitable that this will become either a feature film or a TV series. It's certainly what the fans want and so do we.
You'll see some real improvements in everything from the presentation and production value to the plot structure and increased special effects with the all-new season. I think you'll enjoy it!

Zangief would recognize such a thing immediately (makes him a little homesick for the Kremlin, though).

My request for Zangief is to grow a big pornstar V-shaped chest patch of hair!
Your scenes really steal the show.

Thanks a bunch!
Actually, somebody had suggested early on that I shave my chest hair down to a V shape like Andrew did in the first feature film but then it would have meant shaving the lower legs of all hair except for the shins if we were to go for critical authenticity. That also would have entailed making myself 7 feet tall and the only way I can think of to achieve that is to strap myself to a rack, LOL
Not that the producers wouldn't have sprung for that.

Zangief does indeed rock, and certainly steals many scenes he is in. And he certainly gets the biggest laughs in Episode 7 by far...

The funny part that got cut out in Zangief's dramatic entrance into the ring was his totally innocent and clueless reaction to his fellow warriors' revulsion for his "new look" when he says, "...Vat?"
