Great job with the special effects. The blue fireball makes you think about that move in the game right away. There are some very humorous parts in part 2 with Sagat's not seeing straight. I like when Sagat is looking into the camera when talking to Zangief. (I believe I have the right character names there)

Trying to make it realistic and better than the game is the key. I think that you have done a very good job in showing us that the characters are like their game counter parts.

I know that Sam and Jeff are doing their best to be as true to the characters as possible. Having researched Zangief extensively, I am impressed at how faithfully he is written.

I think that was just Sam's way of getting the Sam Goody joke to work. Besides, they can never stop the manufacture of videotape altogether as it always outlasts aluminum (DVD). Think about it; the Jack Ruby shooting shown on videotape (not the Kinescope version) looks like it was shot yesterday! Videotape lasts damn near forever! Aluminum degrades over time.

These days videotape is the preferred format mainly for people who want to have, keep and preserve their video collection for a lifetime.

That's very interesting. I didn't know that. I always thought it was the other way around. Several of my old VHS recordings have degraded over the last fifteen years. I had assumed it was magnetic degradation or corruption, or something. Maybe I just didn't store them well enough.

Anyway, as strange as I thought it was to see Ryu's videos on VHS, I have to admit it did give the commercial a, well, classic feel.

I thought so, too, and, as far as videocassettes go, so few people actually regularly clean and maintain their players' heads, capstans and pinch wheels that it appears that the videotape has degraded when , in fact, it's the player that can not read it properly anymore. I have video cassettes that I must have played literally hundreds of times dating back to 1981 and they still play like new! Just keep 'em away from magnetic fields and they should be okay.

I guess the big question is:  What did bison do to put himself into a wheelchair?

Ya know, I'm STILL trying to figure that out! Sam isn't really talking yet and the question is not being answered in this particular season.

The other big question is how Bison came back from the dead to begin with! He had a big battle with Chun Li over his murder of her father and she defeated him but it was Akuma who actually killed Bison last time around. Bison had been killed at least once before but managed to resurrect himself by creating a female fighter named Cammy White into whom his suspended life force was to be transferred. Something went amiss and both of them lived with most of Bison's evil traits residing in Bison and his better traits manifesting themselves in her. Curiously (or maybe not so), Cammy became General Bison's lover for a brief time which might explain why she joined forces with Zangief to protect him from harm at the hands of the other Street Fighters. How Bison resurrected himself this time is still a mystery to me and I may just have to get Sam Reich drunk enough to disclose that information.
