With the newly and GREATLY reduced budget for "Street Fighter Reunion" (don't worry; it will not affect the look of the show; just means that Zangief will have a dozen or so fewer hamburgers during lunch breaks and no imported vodka on the set), we are forced to hire only non-union stunt actors (Hollywood's best union players would actually be earning more than the stars and would exceed the revised budget) but TJ Glenn (Vega) will continue to be one of our stunt coordinators and our fight choreographer. It also means that the cast will be required to perform a lot more of our own stunts. Since most of the cast are actual martial artists and at least a few of us have done a lot of fight scenes on TV and in movies (I'm sure you've seen TJ and me getting shot and beaten up in bars on various shows over the decades), that won't be a big problem.

I've been in regular fight training for Zangief's return to the fighting stages being set up for him in Season 1. Zangief's right side snap kicks required more speed and accuracy and I've been able to accomplish that for him. The first of his next two fighting stages for SF Reunion will be the abandoned warehouse where M. Bison first trained the Street Fighters for their big comeback tournament in "Later Years" and that's where he will take on Chun Li (Ana Parsons). The next one is the Shadowbox Gym, owned and operated by Bison and where Zangief now lives in a room adjoining the locker room and showers. It is in this fighting stage that Zangief faces Akuma.

Yesterday, in coming down from one of The Red Cyclone's Grab, Pull & Strike maneuvers, this one utilizing a rising knee kick, I succeeded in injuring my right foot and ripping the blade open. Although bloody and unpleasant looking, it's really a neat wound and is already healing nicely. It's highly possible that Zangief will, as a result of my carelessness, be sporting a brand new scar to add to his now mostly faded repertoire.

Our Russian hero and I will be out of commission for maybe just a day or two more before training resumes.

On another note, it is now possible that "Street Fighter Reunion" may, in addition to our upcoming action-adventure series, "Major Ursus", find one of its first homes on the soon-to-be-launched NeWorld TV network.

More on that after a major development meeting with the network at the end of this month.

The resolution isn't good enough to make it out very clearly. It certainly doesn't look as bad as when my toe got ripped open last February - I won't post an image of that as it might frighten people away from the site. Hope it heals quickly.

By the time I got around to taking the picture, it had already taken (begun to heal) so I didn't want to rip it open again just for the photo op, LOL! It's a thick wad of flesh that seems finally to have begun to stay shut. Next time, however, I promise to make sure I rip off an entire toe. Much more exciting and makes for a great contest giveaway.
