Aside from the still persistant rumor that there will be no Episode 4 of SF:TLY (not true; we've been shooting a lot of new episodes), there are still a few others that bear addressing.

I just read that Episode 4 will premiere in September rather than this month as planned. I will be in contact with the production staff to confirm this.

Also, all relatively reliable sources are confirming that Jessica Biel is the choice to play Chun Li in the forthcoming feature film due out next year. The gist is that it will be essentially a full length movie version of the popular and excellently made Japanese TV series, "Street Fighter II V" (known as "Street Fighter Zero" in Japan). This means that the story will take place before the Big !2 became Street Fighters and will focus more this time on the origin of Chun Li's journey of self discovery. The TV series was set in 1983 (I was impressed at how modern Durai's laptop looked) with Ms. Li at the age of 15 and working as a tour guide in a posh hotel where she meets two 17 year old boys named Ken Masters and Ryu Hoshi. Zangief is so young he doesn't even have his thick mat of chest hair yet. Hyde Park Entertainment is handling the production of this new feature that will be released in time for Street Fighter's 20th Anniversary.

Another frequently recurring rumor is that the part of Zangief is being strongly considered for Eddie Murphy (finally, an actor shorter than I am to take the height deficiency heat off of yours truly, LOL).

With such a veil of secrecy cast over the entire production thus far, it's really hard to comfirm or deny these tidbits of info flying around. Does anybody out there have the scoop on this bit of casting gossip?

This particular page is not enabled for replies so you might want to start a post in the discussion forum if you have any input on this. I posted this item here merely because I thought it newsworthy.

I'm as clueless about this as Zangief is about... well, most things.
