I love the series, even though I'm definately not a subject matter expert on Street Fighter. Who is the character that does not know what a kick is? Thanks.

Yup! That's Balrog. He was notorious for his inability to throw kicks like the other characters. Frustrated a lot of players of the game but, damn, he sure could punch!

CollegeHumor has upgraded the trailer to widescreen! Check it out!Too bad they removed the Capcom-sound intro, though.

College Humor also features us in HD since the beginning of the new season. Now you can count every line on my face, LOL!

Probably not in the next "Street Fighter: The Later Years" which concerns itself only with the classic SFII characters. That series, if it happens again, will be a couple of years down the road, according to series creator and director Sam Reich, but "Street Fighter Reunion", the spin-off for television, will feature all of those characters eventually and even the new Street Fighter IV characters.
Back in May of '08, when TJ Glenn (Vega) and I approached Sam about our doing a spin-off of his hit series, we asked if he had any plans of doing SF:TLY again and he said he'd like to but ,realistically, it probably wouldn't happen for two to three years what with all the contractual obligations he has but that, if he does, he will have to insist upon a bigger budget next time. The possibility of the series returning is enough of a reason for TJ and me to keep our show's plot devices and developments in continuity with "Later Years" while still moving our story in an entirely new direction.

Mann, I just can't wait to see Mike Fass act as Zangief again, along with other cast. I wonder when will they begin to show us the Making of Street Fighter Reunion?

Our second unit director, James Currey, will be shooting the "making of..." documentary from the very first days of pre-production. Pre-production will last approximately three weeks before actual production gets underway and will entail everything from deploying the payroll systems, attorneys, permits, accountants, auditors, union and non-union contracts, final casting, set construction, props, costumes, special effects rigging, stunt coordination, fight choreography, combat training for all of us, oh, and, um, maybe we cast members can squeeze memorizing our lines and marks in there somewhere, LOL! Plus a bunch of other stuff. Special coverage will go to our combat training, of course, since this series will have a lot more fighting action than "Later Years" did.
Right now we're still negotiating with the investors and licensors to complete the funding of all of this and it's a full time job for me almost every day, believe it or not. I'm being a royal pain-in-the-ass, I'm afraid, because I've been insisting that we shoot the Street Fighters' outdoor scenes this summer so that the actors can wear their traditional costumes without the kind of discomfort that a scantily clad Dhalsim and a naked Zangief had to endure in 52 degree temperatures near the end of October back in '07. This is especially important for Ryu, Ken and Akuma, all of whom have extensive scenes outdoors and will be wearing their classic and recognizable white, red and blue-gray karate gis, respectively. Heck, you never see Spider-man bundled up in a jacket and scarf no matter how cold it gets in New York City. I just want the actors to be comfortable when working.
The behind-the-scenes footage will be included in the DVD packages of "Reunion" when they become available although you'll see a lot of rushes on YouTube and elsewhere in advance of the series.
I know I keep saying this but hang on, we're really almost there now!
Oh, and, yeah, I can't wait to bound onto the set again as Zangief. I'm in love with the furry Russian lug. Ana, Luis, Kevin, Lev, Nick, TJ and the others are also excited about us all getting back into action together again.
This is SOOOOO gonna rock!

Whee! You've reignited my Yoga Fire of excitement, Zangief! Thanks! And now, I've got another couple of questions. Will you be filming in HD? I'd loooooooove to buy a Blu-Ray Season 1 set! Also, would it be possible to include The Later Years as a bonus on the home video release, whichever formats you go with?

Just got scorched by your Yoga Fire, Deco, but that's just a regular part of Zangief's work day, isn't it? It's worth it just to know that you're as pumped as we are.
We will be shooting in HD Widescreen just as we did in Season 2 of "Later Years".
Our executive producer Ethan Sigman, line producer Eric Pearson and even TJ have strongly suggested from the start of this project that we make CHTV an offer to purchase SF:TLY outright from them. This would allow us to use reference footage not only in our series but as part of some of the promo specials we'll be doing which would provide great bonus material and finally make TLY commercially available to the public. I think it's great in theory but I fail to see the practicality of it because,
A) I can't imagine why College Humor would let go of the biggest hit series they've ever had, not to mention the fact that Sam Reich is the series creator and he's not exactly through with "Later Years" and he hopes to continue the series sometime in the near future. It's Sam's baby and should always belong to him. Besides, I'm looking forward to appearing on a new launch of "Street Fighter: TLY" and working for Sam again. He's a beautiful guy and a terrific director. Of course, that likely means that we'll then have both series running simultaneously from different production companies but sharing the same cast. That'll be strange but, who cares? It's Street Fighter so, the more of it there is to do, the happier I am and I'm sure the fans will feel the same way. It only means twice the fun as far as I'm concerned.
B) "Street Fighter Reunion" is a spin-off of "Later Years" and not exactly a continuation, although, for the sake of wrapping up loose ends and unresolved plots due to the show's untimely cancellation, we find ourselves having to address some of those issues just to clean up the mess TLY left behind so we can move on into our own new direction. "Frazier", for example, did not find themselves having to own the rights to "Cheers" and never once ran footage from that series to make their spin-off a completely viable and otherwise self contained entity. I'd rather follow the same path with "Reunion". It stands quite nicely on its own.
All that said, it's always possible that Bear Feet Productions and ESP can work out some kind of mutually satisfying deal with College Humor to include their product in a way that promotes their brand overall when it comes time to package "Reunion" for home video release. By that time, we should remember, "Street Fighter: The Later Years" just might be back in production for a new season of its own and we can then cross-promote the hell out of each other.
