We are right now in the process of shooting episodes 4 through 10. Episode 10 is the season finale and is expected to premiere in February of '08. Sam Reich and Jeff Lubin, I believe, will then ponder the direction in which they'd like to take the next season. Sam and I were talking about it and we agreed that you could practically write a book on not only each character but on their various interactions and histories with each other. For instance, the sexual tension between Chun Li and Vega, the homoerotically charged relationship between E. Honda and Zangief, Zangief's obvious and unrequited desire for Ryu, the struggle of Blanka to assimilate into human society, the continued cold war between Guile and Zangief, both of whom stand patriotically for mere shadows of their former governments. Let's not forget Dhalsim's renewed dilemma; returning to fighting (to which he's morally opposed yet will provide still much needed money to his impoverished village in India). All are loaded with pathos and conflict and, therefore, fraught with comedy.

With an increasing cast size and more special effects, I'm sure that post production is even more daunting now than before but our production staff is considerably larger now as well so they're doing their best to get episode 4 out by August even though we'll still be shooting.

Just looked at this series on YouTube today and wanted to say how funny and cool this series is. I thought it was going to be just some lame thing done by a couple of Hollywood wannabes. However, I find this to be very well done and made me laugh on every scene. Zangief was the funniest to me until Blanka showed up who nearly put me in stitches. I can't wait to watch the rest of this series.

What's even funnier is that which goes on behind the scenes with Blanka. The marvelous actor who portrays him, Alex Finch, likes to get into character fully before the cameras roll so we'll see him stomp about, growl and roar before he takes his mark. Then, before Sam yells, "Action!", he'll vocalize just about anything that Blanka is really thinking about his fellow fighters and totally breaks us up! Anytime he's on camera I just have to watch him work, he's so funny! Never a dull moment with Blanka!

It's really a great series with some hilarious quotes like...

"Learn Hadouken, Ansatsuken and Hey, is that Rasputin?"

"Rayu... You only wanted to make a fucking profit!"
"Rayu? All these years I've been calling him Ryu."
"You're a pair of tits, you know that?"

"Tiger! Tiger Uppercut! Pow pow pow!"

"It's for my faaaaaace!"

"We are not producing Friday the Fucking 13th! Lose the goddamn mask!"

"But what about for us? Your old friends?"
"That's funny, because I have a distinct memory of you crushing my head with your thighs."

"Freaking electrical Oompa-Loompa."

I'm really looking forward to Part 4.  Grin

LOL! I love those, too! Among my favorites are:

DHALSIM: We figure we've got three months before they sue us for using the characters.

M. BISON: No depth perception.

DHALSIM: You look... Actually, you look like shit.

Great new gems coming up in forthcoming episodes. I predict that Guile will get quoted a lot! More great lines from Bison, too.  Grin

I too would like to know how many you are looking at making or providing to us. I have seen these ones and really think when others find out about this site that it will grow pretty big.
